About Him
I will return to Cape Town from mid October 2024 for 6 weeks as I have purchased a small near waterfront apartment in Mouille Point in 2022. I love the area so much.
I have been coming for visits over many years and mainly stay in Cape Town but have visited Onrus, Wilderness & George, then Joburg, Pennington and Oribi George. I regularly come to visit South Africa as I really love it.
Wonderful experiences seeing Cape Vultures at Oribi, south of Durban and Pennington, and also Langebaan, Onrus and Hermanus. Loved it there too.
I really enjoy meeting people and exploring places. There's still a lot more left on my bucket list with new things coming up all the time.
My first visit began in 2008 while making a stopover on my way to the UK, then returned in 2016, 2017, and most years since then other than when Covid prevented travel.
I really enjoyed catching up with several of my aviation friends in Brits, Krugersdorp and Johannesburg whom I have met over several years, then did the same in Cape Town at Morning Star airfield.
I enjoy microlight flying and have been seriously involved with it in New Zealand. Motor racing and offshore power boating along with sail boats have been strong personal involvements also.
Visited friends in Perth, Western Australia, for a couple of weeks while on the way to Jo'burg, then came back again and hope to do it as often possible. Would consider permanency there, or South Africa which appeals to me equally as well. Who knows where my eventual grave will be located.
Stopped over in Perth again for a week while on my way to Cape Town for 3 months. Time just flies doesn't it!
